Does anyone take Building Blocks Vitamins???? (see www.usbariatrics.com) I bought a kit and they are huge!!! They tell you to take 3 multi vitamins, 1 ron and 6 calcium capsuls/day. Well, they (calcium) are bigger than the prenatal vitamins I took back in 1998!!! Are all multivitamins that big?? I edded up pulling the calcium apart and mixing with ff Jell-o puddim. Is that ok???? Does anybody have a better way to get their vitamins?? Flavia

I bought so many vitamins prior to surgery that I am STILL trying to finish off the bottles. I am going to look into Vista Vitamins (vistavitamins.com) and Istonic (enjoyhealth.com) which are both for post-op WLS patients. Vista is a chewable you take several times per day and Istonic is a crystal form mixed with 10oz of water and taken once per day. I definitely have realized we will pay more for convenience so if you choose one of those types I suggested, you will pay a little more than if you buy vitamins at the grocery store or healthfood store. P.S. I did get your pics that you sent, I didnt open the zip file while I was away. But they were sent fine to my email. You are a very pretty girl!

Hi Flavia: I did buy those. They are large but are made for bariatric patients. They are made to absorb in less time then the standard pills. I actually bought their chewables. They have a fruit Multivitamin and a chocolate flavored Calcium. I find them much easier.

I'm in same boat as Amy, bought several types prior to surgery. I did order a chewable cal. which I liked. Will order them again. Was a wls type from Bariatric Advantage. I still have to break up the to cal I am taking now, UGH Tastes like chalk. Have a hard time getting it to go down. Gets stuck in back some place, UGH. If I stay with chewable, I am fine. The kiddy kind of Vit that is. I looked at the Building Blocks, found them to be very high in price per dose.

Flavia, my surgeon just requires one multivitamin like Centrum Silver, and two calcium a day, that's it. I can't see spending more money on something fancier. steve
