I also have Aetna and they are very particular about what they want to see. I gave them every last thing and a letter from me and a letter from my PCP and they approved me right away. You have to be sure you dot your I's and cross your T's with them. Good luck with your appeal, Jan

Hi Christine, I have not gotten the letter yet but what they told my surgeon is that the records did not show consecutive weight loss attempts. I got a copy of what was sumitted and in the doctors notes it shows that I was started on Meridia in March because I was not having success with Weigh****chers. Also included is the weigh in hx where I came every month to weigh in from February to August. I wrote an appeal letter today listing all of my medical conditions, surgeries, medications, diet and exercise attempts from the time I knew I was overweight at age 7 to today at age 36. Since I also work for Aetna, I also mentioned the special weight bearing chair and curved keyboard that they had to buy me. All I can do now is pray. If they deny again, I will contact an attorney. Any help you want to offer will be appreciated. Terri

you may want to contact obesitylaw.com. I would not have my approval if if was not for them.. After my first denial I hired them and had my approval in 7 days.
