Lions, Tigers, and Tubes...oh my!
Hello all! I read some posts concerning a drainage tube and was wondering why some people have this and some don't? I spoke with a friend who had the surgery and she said she did not have that. I am pre-op (obviously) =)) So Q&A is a cure for my boredom and anticipation for the big day!
On a more personal note...my mother and stepfather spoke with me tonight and are going to help me with the cost of the surgery, so it looks like this is really happening!! (Sorry, just had to share the big news with people who understand the excitement) Well, good luck to all and I'm glad to finally be on my way to becoming a LoSeR!!

Phoenix, congratulations on finding a way to have the surgery, I think that those who have to work harder for this surgery appreciate it more. Questions are a big part of this process, so aks all the question you want, and make sure you get answers to all your questions, before you have surgery. I agree that not all people have the drain tubes, neither my wife or I had them, I don't know if it is different surgeons, or different cir****tances that require them, this may be a question for your surgeon. Good luck on your journey, steve.
Good morning and glad to hear you have found a way to have the surgery. And Steve is right. Ask all questions here at the board. If someone doesn't know the answer, they will tell you where to look to find the answer. We all agree that information about this surgery takes the doubts away from your decision. Soooo..........ask away.
Soon you will be on the losing side.
Congratulations.
Carol
