Hurry up and wait....
Hello all,
I finally had my consult with my surgeon today and now everything I can do has been done. It was a little discouraging to have the co-ordinator tell me they are backed up due to the transcriptionist being overloaded by all of the power outages. Anyway hopefully they wont sit on it too long. Now I just have to try and keep myself busy so that I dont obsess and the time drags. I did ask that they please let me know when the get it sent to the insurance company so at least I know its on the way and THEN I can start pestering the insurance company. I am just going to keep my fingers crossed.

Take a deep breath and just hang on. There is no way of knowing how long it will take . Just remember to get back in touch after a week or so and make them remember your name. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
What hospital will you be going to? Manatee Memorial. I have a daughter that is a surgical nurse there. She's a smart cookie.
Good luck.

Elaine, welcome to Hell. You are now at the worst point in the journey. You have done everything you can do, and now you have to wait on others to do their job. Try to be patient, try to keep a good sense of humor about you, and try not to kill anyone because they aren't doing their job fast enough. I would give the surgeon's office a week, and then call and verify if the paperwork has gotten sent. Good luck, steve.
