What will help?
Hi every body:
I went to my surgeons office on the 29th. My pr-op appointment was set up and I was weighed, I am stuck at one weight and it won't budge. I need to lose 10 pounds to have my surgery on Oct. 28th. It seems like since I started going to the gym my weight has just stuck and won't move. I do cardio and weights and water arobics. I thought that maybe I should skip the weights and just do the cardio and the water arobics. Do you all agree that will help me drop the 10 pounds? I am already on 2 liquid protein drinks and one small meal of fish or chicken grilled or broiled and one dark green veggei. Plus I drink my 64 oz. of water a day too. I need help before I lose my mind.

Karen,
This is a tough one because it sounds like you are fully prepared but the weight isnt budging. You might be building muscle which could be preventing the weightloss, but you are also gearing up for being a healthier post-op and will be better prepared for recovery than those of us who didnt exercise prior to surgery. If your protein drinks arent low cal, maybe find one that is low carb, low cal and high protein. Other than that, maybe call the surgeon and ask to speak to them or the nurse and see what their suggestions are to jumpstart you for those 10 lbs.
Good luck
