Marla, Dumb question... are the stats you've listed for the total of the small size (8 oz.) or are they for 1/2 of a small (4 oz. serving). Thanks for your info. I love Wendy's chili and wondered if it was "safe" for me after I've had surgery. Vickie J.

That is for the full 8oz, so you would half it for the 4 oz.

Vickie, that is for the whole size, 8oz per Wendy's web site. When your doctor gives you permission to eat "real food", you can try it. I only add one new food at a time. If it makes me sick, I know what it is and try again in a few weeks.

I assume that is without the added grated cheese that I always top my Wendy's chili off with. (I've never liked crackers in my chili) I make two meals out of the small chili,too. LuvitsunnyV@goal

The cheese another 70 calories and 4 g of protein.

My surgeon is over 2 hours from home. After my 8 week checkup I stopped at Wendy's and bought a small Chili. I stopped 3 times on the way home and ate some. When I got home I still had half of it left. Was sure an improvement on the other things I eaten early on. Now at 10 months post-op, down 118 pounds and have been at goal for 2 months.

Gary, congrats on your loss! It gives us newbies to post-op encouragement. I agree, the chili is great and a change from the plain food we eat as we work our way to goal.
