Hate emails at OH??!!

O MY GOSH!!!! I was posting in the main message board on a subject that I didn't even bring up... I was just putting in my 2 cents, didn't argue or try to be mean to anybody, just gave my opinion on a certain celeb that I can't stand. It's a free country after all, isn't??!!... Well, guess what??!!! I got emails from this one woman that were just plain offensive, she called me every name in the book, made fun of me, and apparently had a great old time doing so. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT, HERE, IN A SITE WERE WE COME FOR SUPPORT, PEOPLE CAN BE SO TRASHY!!! Thanks for letting me vent... Flavia

Flavia, some of the people on these boards can be truly rude. It's a shame, but anymore it seems like you have to put up with a couple of ******** if you are going to reap the benefits of this website. With so many people using these message boards, I guess we have to expect that some of them are going to jerks. have a good day. steve

Flavia, I got so tired of all the trashing, whining and repetitiveness of the main board that I rarely go there any more. I am sorry you became victim of one of things that so many say happens frequently there. I agree it is ironic that people would be so obnoxious and abusive anywhere on this site but I think there are some people who will be miserable in any environment. I know what you mean. I have investigated the main board but it was scary People seemed more anxious to trash each other than to help each other through this surgery. I just stay here at the Florida board. Just stick with us here. I think this board is genuinely concerned about the people here. At least that's the way i feel about it. Have a good day. Carol

That is the reason I only come to this board, where there are caring, loving and members are full of knowledge and compassion for each other. Steve, Amy, Marcie, Michele, RuthAnn, Carol and so many more will always be there to give you a boost when you need it or the answer to you question.

There is lots of good info on the main board, especially for those interested in WLS and newly approved pre-ops. After surgery, I think it becomes very repetitive and it does take a lot of patience to deal with all the drama on there by a handful of holier-than-thou type folks who think they are helping to "educate" all of us.
