Low Oxygen Level

I was told on Friday while getting the results of my sleep apnea study that my oxygen level was low (72 after walking) and that I probably should be on oxygen 24/7. I need to have a breathing test done which I've scheduled for this Thursday. The only thing I've been waiting on to get a surgery date are the results of the sleep apnea test and now this breathing test. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? Is this low oxygen factor going to prevent me from having the surgery?? Please let me hear from you!! Thank you!!

The low oxygen should not prevent you from having the surgery, but it is important to get your oxygen levels back up and to keep them up. It helps in the healing process after the surgery. It just means that they may have to watch your oxygen more closely. Good luck with your breathing test. Brook
