Rosey from Florida Update

Rosey is "out of the woods", she has been taken from ICU and is now in a private room. She sat up for the first time last night. Her Creatin level(sp) is dropping which we pray means that the take down of her 1970's bariatric surgery is already helping her only working kidney to show improvement. I've heard from some pre-ops and was not wanting to make it more fearful. Rosey had the take down to save her life and the gastric bypass to extend her life. Her DH said that she still isn't up to phone calls but is doing much better. The hurricane hit their area pretty hard yesterday and he was unable to make it into the hospiatl but is there this morning and much relieved. Thanks for all your prayers and support, as I have been forwarding them to Rosey's family. T

Glad she's making some progress. She and her DH are in my thoughts & prayers. Can you clarify what exactly a "take down" is? I'm gathering that she had WLS back in 1970? Sorry to be confused. Danielle

That is such wonderful news, I have been thinking of her and hoping she would turn the corner. I am so glad she was still in the hospital and not home recovering during that horrible storm. It was stressful enough for all of us who are post-op but would have been very difficult for anyone just released from the hospital. I hope they didnt have any damage. Please tell her we are so anxious to have her back with us on here and send our well wishes to both Rosey and her DH. And thank again for keeping us all in the loop Amy
