Hello Everyone! How did you fare during the storm? Any of you ready to pack up and leave the sunshine state for good now? I hope that you all are OK and are getting back to normal as best as possible after this weekend's hurricane #4. What a nightmare when I see the devastation out there, I know I feel blessed that things are OK here. We've been thru so much lately, it is a real challenge, but I hope you are all coping and able to find goodness thru these trying times. Hang in there and post ASAP so we all know you are OK. Take care, Amy P.S. No real "Q of the D" today, in fact since I am leaving for Maryland this week, I think I'll put the Questions on hiatus until I get back home around 10/06.

We made out pretty good over here in Tuskawilla Trail's. We lost power for about an hour on Sunday afternoon around 2pm. This storm wasn't as bad as the others, Thank God. But yes, I think if I had the money and financial stability I would leave this state for good. It was okay when I lived in North Carolina and got a hurricane or 2 every year. But those stayed you know, a month or more apart. Not one right on top of the other. I'm also extremely disappointed in myself for eating because I'm stressed. Bah, gained 11 pounds since all these storms started up.

Hey Amy, Well I am without power again. Last time was 5 days, so hoping it will not be as long this time. We survived and that is what counts. I had no real damage to my house. Hope everyone else is also ok. gail

Happy Monday Back at you..... Hope everone is safe after a fun florida weekend. Hope you get your power back quickly Gail. I know how you feel, lost power with frances for 4 days. Living by candle light when it is hot and humid is no fun. Fortunately we only lost power here for 12 hours. I was at work, it was restored before I came home. My prayers are with all who have damage/injuries. Chris

Good Monday morning to you and good to see you still on the board, Amy. Electricity is a wonderful thing. We got lots and lots of high wind yesterday and last night. Tree limbs is all I have seen down so far. We weren't even in the path but we got the tail winds I guess. Amy, we will miss you while you are in Maryland but i hope you have a great time. Just remember that if you are going to see people that haven't seen you in a while, they won't recognize you with all the weight loss. AND AS far as leaving Florida.............I still love it here. These storm**** around the whole eastern coast. I don't know where i would go. I just have to believe this was just an uncommon thing cuz I lived down here a long time and never anything like this. My prayers and thoughts are with the ones trying to regroup from such damage. Take Care Carol

Hey Amy! We faired well....just hard wind and some decent rain. Jeanne ripped the awning right off of our two-seater swing we had tied down, but other than that we did alright. BTW, where are you heading to in MD? Used to live there a few years back. ANd while I'm addressing my BTW's this morning, I sent that e-mail to Christina C. and still have not heard back so I'm thinking maybe it'd be cool to have you step in as my angel since it's getting down to the wire-I mean I start my Pre-Op LIQUID diet tomorrow?!?!?!?!? Thanks so much-you're the best. Danielle

Hello All We were very blessed around here as well! We got some good rain and alot of wind, but for the most part we are all safe and well! We didn't lose power at all, and I am definitly blessed and happy about that! My mother lost power today, but only for a couple hours and my sister lost power all day yesterday! I just pray this is the last of the hurricanes for FL. I dont know how much many of us can take, expecially the people who had devastating (sp?) cir****tances! I will keep them all and everyone here in my prayers! MICHELLE

We did just fine here in Clermont , my subdivision at least. Our houses were built after Andrew, when all the new buiding codes came out. Didn't even lose power or a single shingle! Flavia

Hi there- This hurricane was the worst for us in DeBary. The flooding is major and we need a new roof and new screen, but others have it much worse on the coast. Thanks for all the prayers!
