Anyone else remember The Gong Show????? I can't wait for this hurricane madness to end, I keep hearing banging noises but I cant tell whether it's my house or something else. I opened the front door and the wind was blowing so hard, I had to pull it hard to close it back. And my faithful companions (the dogs) are absolutely NO comfort or help...Tucker is in the shower and Kiley is in the closet with her rawhide. Seriously, I am so bored and just thought I'd pop on to vent a little !

Same thing here. I just a big bang but from looking outside I cant see anything. Enough already! I have a housefull of relatives that had to evacuate. I had a feeling it wasnt going to make the turn north that they originally thought. I am bored too so I keep sneaking away since I still have power at least I can keep checking out the board. Elaine

Carol , Very strong wind gusts, lots of rain blowing sideways but amazing that I still have power! Last one we were out for about 14 hours which I cant complain compared to some others. I live right on SR 70 and I cant believe how many people are still driving around on the roads. Well at least one good thing is its taking my mind of my surgeon consult on Thursday which until today thats all I could think about. My kids cant wait to see if schools cancelled. Elaine

Yes, Amy, I remember the Gong Show. I guess you feel like you are living on the Gong, huh? Glad to see you still posting. Keep in touch. I know everyone is worn out from the storms. They say it may head into gulf this afternoon so my DH and I will be up most the night tracking to see if it is headed for us. Same as last storm. Be safe everyone. Carol

Jeanne danced right by Miami, thank God. However, my daughter in Port St. Lucie whose home was already damaged by Frances now has a home that is uninhabitable from Hurricane Jeanne. As she and her baby were leaving prior to Jeanne's landfall someone rear-ended them in thier vehicle on the turnpike. Thankfully, she and the baby are okay but her vehicle suffered damage. Her husband, a firefighter, is on over-time duty. Both are so young and overwhelmed by all this. I appreciate your prayers on thier behalf. LuvitsunnyV@goal

Prayers are coming to your area. I know you must be frantic trying to keep them calm while you also worry about them. About the time you get kids all grown and you think you can stop worrying so much, it starts all over again. I know with 9 kids and 11 grandchildren, there is always something going on. I have just tried to remember I can't take care of it all for them. Hope things calm down around your area. Maybe this fall will be nice and everyone can relax. Good luck Carol

Hey Amy, this sounds like my house during Jeanne. My dog and cat were freaking out too. They knew something was up. My mom's dog is named Tucker also and he hides in the shower when he is scared.........lol. Have fun in Maryland and talk to you when you get back! Hugs, Christine
