If you lose power.
I know I may be too late with this tip. Sorry about that. Our electric company told us if we should fill gallon jugs with water and freeze them. then if the power goes off, transfer them to your cooling side of frig and 3-4 of them will keep food cool for several days while the power is off. Seemed like a good idea. Turns your nonelectric refrigerator back into an old timey icebox. Could mean the difference in trying to save food.
PLEASE everyone be careful and I will be praying for you all that are in the line of Jeanne. I am not sure if we will have anything of it. Who knows with these storms this year. They turn and such and come back. Keep in touch this weekend as much as possible and as long as possible so we know you all are okay. The mama comes out in me during things like this and I hate when all my "ducks" aren't in a row.

Another thing to remember is to put your freezer temp at the maximum level now so if you lose power your food is frozen even more solid and will last longer while you wait for it to come back on.
It's about 6am on Sunday morning, I cant believe I still have power, it has flickered several times already. If I dont post the "Q of the D" then you'll know that I lost power. Hang in there everyone!
