Hello Everyone...Just felt like writing today...I read the posts everyday and am so happy for everyone's progress and surgery dates!! I am just getting so bummed about mine...There is no word on my appeal yet!! I am getting extremely frustrated with the whole thing!! I keep talking to people at work and I keep hearing the same thing...Vista denied them or someone they know!! Ugghh!! Not to be a downer..but just wanted to vent!! .....I hope everyone keeps up the amazing work!!! Tricia

Well Tricia, good to see you post. Don't be too hard yourself. No news is good news. If they were just going to automatically deny it, you may have already heard. I'll say an extra prayer tonight for you. What I need is patience but I told a friend I was going to pray for them and she screamed oh no don't, then you will be tested! Guess she has never been down this same road as us LOL

Tricia, try to think positive. I know insurance companies suck, but every once in a while they come through. I hope your appeal gets approved, good luck, steve

Tricia, Hang in there! They havent said NO yet, so hopefully that means they are reviewing it. No worries about venting here, we all know this process isnt an easy one for lots of us. There was a lady at my last support meeting who said it took her two years to get approved. The insurance companies just want us to give up so in essence, we stay fat and then they pay for all the comorbidities we suffer from, doesnt make much sense . Stay focused and it will happen for you ! Amy

Hey Tricia, I did not hear anything about my appeal until I called Aetna. Then they announced it over the phone that I was approved. How long ago did you send it in? I would call Vista because sometimes you need to light a fire under them to do anything. Let me know. Christine -70

Hi there. I agree. Bug them, call them, keep your name in their heads until they finish you paper work. Be nice each time you call. I kept calling and just always talked happy and cracked a joke and MADE them remember that i was waiting on them to do their job so I could live. It is a rough thing to do but not impossible. Don't let them tell you know. You know what you need better than them. Good luck Carol

I'll be sending positive thoughts and warm wishes your way that your insurance company comes to their senses and sees the light. I know the emotional rollercoaster this journey is! ::: crossing fingers for you :::
