Getting someone to call you
Jerry, when I was going through the insurance process, Nicia collected my file, but wasn't the one who faxed it. Heather did that, and she is no longer with the practice. I can't remember the new girls' name, but when my file was faxed, I was told to start calling the insurance company one week later, however that was unnecessary, as Aetna made their decision in 24 hours and Dr. Jawad's office called me promptly!!
I found Dr. Jawad's office staff easy to work with, but I also asked them what I could do to help them, knowing I am not the only patient they are working with and also knowing full well how long it takes to get through to insurance companies.
Good luck!!!

Jerry, in my experience with my insurance company (UHC) I called them right away to see if anything had been faxed. Then, I kept on them to find out what was going on. Just call them, let them know what you are trying to accomplish and ask them if there is anything you can do to help speed up the process. If anything, they will call your Dr's office direct to ask for the papers right way.
It took nearly 3 weeks for my approval. That seems to be standard with a lot of insurance companies, but you may luck out with your plan.
Good Luck!
