I work for Disaster One in Greensboro, NC. Some of our guys have been in Florida since the first of August helping out with clean up from the hurricanes. They started out in ***** Gorda & they are now in Fort Pierce. We have about 13 guys & 8 trucks down there. They are all worn out & very tired, but doing everything they can to help. My fiance & I will be leaving Greensboro tonight headed to our guys in Fort Pierce. We are taking them another truck full of equipment & then we will be driving a rental car back. We have to be back in Greensboro by 3pm Sunday. I wanted to say thank you to everyone in Florida. Our guys have said that everyone that they have come in contact with, has been great. Everyone one has been so nice to our guys & they have really appreciated it. I know that our guys are ready to come home, but they are going to stay & help out until they are done & have no idea when they may come back home. Thanks for treating our guys so well. They have told us that it is amazing what a hurricane can do & they feel so bad for everyone in Florida. I hope that everyone has a great weekend & I wish that I could stay a little longer, but have to be back at work Monday morning. Julie -43 lbs. -45 inches.

Thank you for sharing your guys with us Floridians. I know that Ivan is dumping a lot of rain across the TN/NC area. I guess "neighbor helping neighbor" is what Americans are all about. Luvit~SunnyV@goal

The "Thanks" really belongs to you all. If it wasn't for others coming in to help with the clean up we would really be in a mess. I personally can't say thank you enough for your help. Wish you could stay and visit longer. Lovetta

Julie, Truly, thank you for working for such a great cause! I live in Gainesville also hard hit by Frances. No where near as bad as some of the other places - but most of our town was out of power for about a week. We had so many power lines down because of the trees, they would have taken a month or more to replace if our utilities department didn't have help. I'm not sure where they got their help - but I'm sure glad they did! Have a safe drive and a blessed traveling experience! God Bless! Barbie 281/196/170ish
