Any news on Brenda Newman?

I know today was Brenda's surgery date but don't know where she was to have it. Does anyone know if she was able to have surgery today and if so, how did it go? I'm keeping Brenda & all those of us in the FL panhandle and in Ivan's path in my prayers! Tallahassee Lassie

I spoke to Brenda tonight and she says that she is sore and full of gas. I told her that it will all be worth it in a cuople of weeks, and she will be on the losing side too. She says that her surgery took 3 1/2 hours and she had some complications and was in SICU overnight and that she is full of tubes. Her husband told me that she was up in the chair today and that she was walking to the bathroom and he thought she was better today. If all goes well she will probably get to come home on Sunday. I almost forgot she is also running a temp of 101, so she is being watched close. Karen
