OT: Suggestions for care package

Hi everyone,I am trying to put together a care package for my cousin and his family and I need some ideas. They live in Florida and weathered Francis pretty well with only some minor wind damage.Their power was out for 9 days and when it came back on on Sunday there was a power surge and their house burnt down to the ground. Thank God no one was home but they lost almost everything. Before leaving their home for the hurricane she put all of her pictures in Ziplock bags to protect from the water well you came imagine what the heat of the fire did to those. So my Mom and I are going through all of our family photos and picking out a few and going to start a new albumn for them and maybe a new camera to start but I am having a hard time thinking of some more goodies to fill up this box. Any ideas? Thanks Dawnn

Gift Certificates. That way they can buy what they need. It would be difficult at this point to really know what they need if you do not know if they are renting a place, in a motel or just hanging on until the insurance settles. With all the damage in Florida right now, any Insurance company is beyond capacity. They could need personal items, or clothes or housewares. I know they will apprecaite the photo album. Maybe others in your family could also help gather pictures.

Martha is right, gift certificates are great. Especially travelers gift cheques and American Express gift cheques. Food, Food and more Food too! You are so incredibly thoughtful!
