Revisions.......

I need some help. I have a friend that had open RNY 2000. Shortly after his surgery his surgeon was in an accident and unable to continue his practice. My friend has never had a followup appt and has only lost 110. He thinks he needs a revision, but unsure where to find a surgeon that will do them in the Pensacola, FL area. Oh also he thinks he may have a hernia and may need that repaired as well. Anyone have any ideas how to find a Dr without having to go across the continent to do it? Thanks u guys. Angie RNY 8-10-04

I think the best revision guy in Florida is Dr. Murr in Tampa. My opinion. I need a 35 year old WLS revised and also have a hernia...and lots more things to the cleaned up. He said he can help me. Perhaps there is one closer to you. Good Luck.

Angie, I believe Dr. Sieloff in Tallahassee has done wls revisions. I haven't had surgery yet (but I'm working on it) and I'm planning to use Dr. Sieloff. I know several who've used him, including a one of the head surgical nurses at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center, and they have nothing but good things to say about him. Vickie J. Angie... Have you checked with the Dr.'s i nthat areaa...Dr. Nye is one that comes to mind. I knowthat there is a listing of them on this site. HOpe that helps? Becky
