"Post- Op Jan"

Good morning everyone. Jan had her surgery yesterday and is doing fine. We got to ORMC at 7:30 am despite the fact that she had no electric and had to take a cold shower. She was more worried about the leak in her roof than the surgery until about an hour before. Dr. Jawad said her surgery went great, no problems. The only thing was they had no rooms available, so she stayed in recovery until after 5:00 pm. Just as soon as they got her in her room they got her up and had her walking the hall. That's when I left. Her color was good, her vitals were good and she was alert and moving really well. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. I will post again this evening after I take her home. I pray she has power by then. Joy

I'm staying at my mom's house for a while because I still have no power at home and it's just too hard to take care of this stuff alone and in the terrible heat! I'm very comfortable here!! I feel better today than I felt yesterday and I felt better yesterday than I did the night before, so I guess I'm doing ok. I don't like the idea of yet another hurricane/tropical storm, but what can ya do? Thanks to all for their well wishes and prayers, but especially to Joy who was the MOST wonderful angel.
