Two Fat Disgusting People

I had to go to the ER this afternoon. I seemed to keep getting absesses on my body (ugh). I got one on the back of my left thigh (5th one since May) and new the symptoms, fever, nausea, and major pain! The absess had grown in size over the last couple of days and I had been apply the moist heat. My husband and I were able to get some drainage today, but it was just so painful I decided to go to the ER to try to get some relief! They attempted to take care of it and I have to go back, but they gave me a shot of an antibiotic. I had to wait 30 minutes to make sure that I wouldn't have an adverse reaction, no problem. They pu my husband and I in a small waiting room back in the ER and there was another lady there. This lady was obviously there because she wanted drugs. We even heard her tell the ER PA exactly what she wanted and when she was told she couldn't get that she got upset. She proceeded to go out in the hall and talk to her friend, complaining about them not giving her the medds, then out of the blue she says "Plus they've got me stuck in there with two disgusting fat people UGH!" I couldn't believe this woman said this. My husband told me to ignore it, but I'm such an emotional person I couldn't. I went out to the nurses desk and asked to be released immediately. I explained why and they were very appologetic, and let me go. I just don't understand why people are this way. Fat has feelings too! Sorry just needed to vent.

I can see why you were so disgusted! How rude! Then again, look at the source right? This woman is clearly a real winner herself. She needs to seek some help for herself and take a good look at herself before she starts judging other folks. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Danielle

That's pretty much what my husband said. It was just so hurtful to know that people like that are out there.

People like her make life hard for everyone. She probably talks about everyone. Just remember.........you will lose the weight and she will STILL BE A RUDE, INSENSITIVE "FEMALE". AND this is the place to vent 'cuz everyone on this board understands . Carol

Kim, the problem is fat is an adjective, and that makes it a target. It makes it a socially acceptable target. That woman was going to lash out, she had to pick on someone, and she found you as her target. It's unacceptable to pick on someon because they are black, hispanic, or gay, but it has not gotten to the point where it is unacceptable to pick on people because they are fat. Therefore she picked you to lash out against, because she could, and not be critisized because she could. Don't take it too personally, she was going to mouth off about someone, you were just the first one she saw. Good luck.

Kim, I have dealt with fat comments for so many years that I think I have a tough exterior about it now. I try to find comfort in knowing that I am a much better person than those people will ever be, plus I believe in karma too. What goes around, comes around ! Amy

Obviously this pill popper didnt have any ounce of respect for other people. I know it still hurts to hear these things but this is the best place to complain about it, we have all been in you type of situation one time or another,, dont let this druggie get you down, keep your chin up and continue to succeed with your weight loss goals,, christy

Hmm girl, Im glad you have a good, supportive man at your side. I'd probably be kicked out of the hospital because I would have went out and said, "Hey I'd rather be fat then some crazed lunatic." and walk off with an added note saying, "And by the way I can change faster then you will ever manage to in your short life span." Man people like that get me fired up but remember you're beautiful and you're doing something about it. Someday the shoe will be on the other foot. I'm not a nice person when someone makes a comment about my weight and means for me to hear it. If theres one thing I can do is point out the one thing they hate about themselves to shut them up, sadly this has caused me to stoop to their level so Kim I have to say you're awesome for not stooping to that sad little womans ways.
