Just a thought - if there was a way to check out references of people who have lost their homes and need a place to stay temporarily, I bet a lot of people (including us) would open up their homes temporarily until better arrangements could be made. Do people do that? Would it help?

Your thought is a great idea. I would welcome someone. It's just in this day and age, it is hard to know who to trust any more. Maybe we could check with our churches and schools I know I'd feel better if they were known by my friends. Thanks for the intersting thought. I will be keeping all of my friends in my prayers this weekend as all of Florida holds their breath through this one. God Bless, Gail

Someone suggested to me that maybe FEMA or the Red Cross might be an information source. My Dad has a winter home in Fort Meyers that could be used too.

I live in North Carolina so not sure how much HELP I can be for Folks who have lost their Homes due to Hurricaines but hey if I can HELP just let me know ok. Being that I've been HOMELESS with 2 kids before I know how hard it is to be out here struggling and no where to live and feeling like all is lost. So I WELCOME the chance to HELP other's. I call it taking a leap of FAITH and I like to teach my Girl's to Give to Other's rather then Taking and when you Give you do it from the Heart without expecting anything in return. So if I can HELP feel free to let me know. Respectfully Debbie Dickson
