Jacksonville support group?

Hello Everyone, I am posting this on the Florida board and the main board. As many of you know I had surgery on July 21st, but in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. The drive there is 5hrs for me so I am looking for a local support group. If anyone has any helpful info, please share! Thanx, MICHELLE

Ok, so I found the answer to my own question. A woman at Miltons job had the surgery 11mths ago and I had him ask her about a support group and she gave me the info. Woo Hoo finally! MICHELLE

Hey Amy, Will do! I just want to make sure I have all the info. correct prior to posting. So far all I know is it is at Memorial Hospital. She stated, every Thursday but not sure if thats sounds right. As soon as I get the correct info. I will let other Jax people know. Thanx though! Michelle.

Michelle, I am a member of Dr. Overcash's support group. We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month in Orange Park. It is open to anyone pre-op or post-op from any doctor. There is also a Monday night meeting but I only go to the ones on Saturday. If you are interested let me know and I can give you the time and address.
