Jacksonville, Florida

My brother and his family live in Jacksonville. I've tried looking at the weather maps and such to see what impact the hurrican might have on them. Does anyone know if it is headed for Jacksonville? My brother is in the Navy and is out to sea. I'm getting worried about his family. Thanks!

I'm in Jax and right now we're just kinda holding our breath. We're not sure how much of this we're gonna get. The weather keeps changing every few hours. It really all depends on where this hurricane hits. I'm originally from KY so this is ALL new to me!

I'm sure they won't mind, it shows them you care I'm originally from Georgetown, which is about 15-20 miles north of Lexington. I moved down here 4 years ago.

I live in Jax. It's just scattering TS's right now and through out the rest of the night. We really can't leave becasue we have so many animals. 8 dogs and 2 cats. Some are ours and some are our fosters. I have tons of candles and karoscene lanterns. but I don't think it will be that bad here . The huge oaks and magnolias are the biggest worry for us. Kallen

We just have one dog, a chihuahua, but we're not going anywhere without him. We live in a mobile home, so we're concerned about the winds! I have a lot of candles and one flashlight. I'm going to try to get some batteries for our radio tomorrow, see if there's any water left at Wally world, but I'm like you, I don't think it's gonna get too bad. What side of town are you on? Kim

We have a 13 yr old mini Doxie, 11yr Yorkie, 7yr Papillion mix. 3 long haired Chis, and two fosters. one is a 6 yr old SH Chi boy and a 12yr old Pom boy. Kallen
