This is Crazy

hey all, i just a phone call from my landlady. she had left a yellow extention cord over here and was looking for it. well while i was on the phone with her she asked me for the RENT. now my rent isn't due until the 5th. all she wanted was for me to pay the rent before the storm because we both know that with the damage that it got from charley, it won't be here after this one. i told her no, not till the 5th. she got so mad, i don't care, i need my money. she can deal with it. Sorry i just needed to vent. angie

Angie! Tell her that as she would not appreciate the rent 4 days late, you do not appreciate a request for it to be 4 days earlier. That is insane! Tell her you will pay when you make sure that you have a house to live in after the hurricane. That is one benefit to renting is that your rental has to be livable! Good luck - we all need to be prepared.

hi angie, if your rent isn't due until the 5th then you are no way reqiered to pay it before. if that hurricaine hits then you may not have a place and need the money to find another home, don't let her bully you. brenda
