I just got my date. It's September 22. I will have a revision at Tampa General with Dr. Murr. Now I have to start getting ready. I just don't know what to do first. I am looking forward to this because I need to have my 35 year old surgery "taken down" as I have a progressive kidney diseases. Because of the kidney disease I am down to one kidney. I know this is the place for support...so you will see me here often. I can't tell you how much I have already learned from all of you and how much I enjoy your company.

You are in great hands with Dr. Murr and TGH. I had my surgery on 8/17. 2 weeks po i've lost 26 pounds but even more important, I have cut my insulin. In the last 4 days I have had about 40 units, before the surgery 4 days would be 160 - 200 units. Good luck.

Thanks Brian, I appreciate your pep talk...I could use it. Dr. Murr was recommended to me as the best in the country for this old revision! I thought I would have to go to Mayo to have it done....but the best is right here! I just talked to my husband on the phone and started crying when I told him. I don't know if I'm happy or scared!
