J'ville schools closed friday.

I just heard on the news and you can also look on Firstcoastnews.com that all duval county schools will be closed Friday due to Hurricane Frances. Thats not a good sign! Time to get prepared! MICHELLE.

Someone boarded up their windows in my neighborhood today and took off to parts unknown. I imagine that I'll have to pack up my cats and go stay at the nursing home. So long as my animals are with me, I can be more content. Jan

Schools will be closed here in Orlando on Friday also. When we moved to Orlando from NC everyone said we don't have hurricaines here you all only get them in NC, we haven't seen one here in years. Well, looks as if things are changing. We live right by Universal studios in an apt so hopefully we will be okay. My kids are homeschooled thru a state program so school goes on for us as long as we have power. They keep comparing this to Hugo and I clearly recall the devestation in NC from HUGO, there were many tornados and flooding. I hope and pray that its not that bad.
