Sweet n Low

Has anyone dumped on sweet n low? I had my first cup of hot decaf tea yesterday morning, and added not even a quarter of a packet of sweet n low, skim milk and bam, not 5 minutes into drinking it... it was my first experience with dumping, and I'm not pleased at all with this little side effect! I speak with a woman who actually eats the stuff she dumps on so her weight will go down quicker... after one experience, I ate nothing the rest of the day - I was too afraid of it happening again... I have only used Splenda and have not had any trouble. I had some sugar free pudding with 1% milk yesterday and ate it to fast. I felt so tired and could not leave the bathroom. I learned my lesson.

Evelyn, it dosen't sound right, that a 1/4 pack of sweet and low made you dump, and that quickly. Are you sure it was the drink, did you eat something before that? I have heard of people not tolerating sweet and low, so it is possible, try changing sweetners, try Splenda. Good luck steve

Evelyn, Could it have been the milk? I've heard several post-ops say they can no longer tolerate dairy. Some say only milk bothers them, others say anything dairy (cheese, etc.) upsets their tummy. But I agree with the other posts, too - I'd try another sweetener, just to be on the safe side. Good luck & hang in there! Vickie J. aka: Tallahassee Lassie
