Ok, so I have a bottle of calcium citrate with vitamin D and Mag. Nice little bottle of huge horse pills...LOL Anyway, the pills are 250mg each...so I have been taking 8, yes 8 a day to make my 2000mg per day that is recommended. I was just wondering, has anyone found a higher mg pill? I have been taking them 2 at a time every hour or so in the evening. I end up taking vitamins 6 times a day. Take my multi, my iron, and my Vit C in the morn and then another dose of the 3 (multi, my iron, and my Vit C) after lunch, then starting around 5-6 pm, I start taking my calcium 2 at a time...I feel like taking vits is over running my life! LOL Don't worry, I am faithfully taking them, but what a pain! I just want to gulp them all the calcium at the same time. But I don't cause #1 I want the most absorption so I break it up, and #2 they are the size of my foot! heheheh LOL...any suggestions?? Thanks!

Heidi--Unfortunately that is the problem with the calcium citrate. I am taking the calcium citrate chewable wafers from twinlab. I buy them at vitacost.com. I take 1500 a day so I take two 3 times a day. I enjoy the taste so I just stick them in my pocket for munching on in the middle of the day. Good job on taking your vitamins!

Heidi, Vitalady sells calcium citrate capsules with 500 mg calcium plus magnesium and vitamin D in each single capsule. That means only 4 capsules (normal size, not horse pills) per day. It costs $14.99 for a bottle of 240 (2 month supply). She also seels a lot of other products for WLS patients - she is one herself. Her website is vitalady.com (with the www. in front, of course).
