employers want to change ins providers....

I posted this over at the main board but everything over there moves so fast no one gets a chance to answer. My employers want to change ins providers from UHC to Neighborhood health plan...I already knew what to expect from UHC but now im all confused about NHP....has anyone dealt with them?? if so let me know how it went please. -Vero

Vero, What a drag ! Have you called Neighborhood Health and asked them what their WLS policy is like or even checked out their website info? Hopefully, it wont be as bad as you think. I changed insurance companies late last year and didnt have a clue what to expect, but it couldnt have been smoother for me to get approved. Anticipate the worst but hope for the best! Good luck! i guess im unfortunate...my journey wont be so smooth..I already spoke with my pcp about my inc carrier changing and he said NHP is a pain in the butt to work with...they are slow with everything and now i have to start all over again..with a new surgeon and everything...this is so frustrating...im seriously considering just taking out a loan or something to pay for the surgery
