I kinda feel like I am being misunderstood, which is easy to do when you are writing down your venting. I have diet history, that's for sure. Just not the last 6 months. I have it for the past 36 months where I was medically supervised for more than 6 months. I have my weight history documented since I was 17 years old. I have notes in my charts on when weight loss was discussed. There is no doubt in the files that attempts have been made. I just couldn't get a good 6 month diet history together because my PCP has been a pain in the rear. I have documentation of my own that I have shown to my PCP, showing him how I have been eating (food journals since January, when we were told that we would need a diet history). He shrugged it off. I plan to go at him again with it. I did my research, I take this seriously and by far, I am not treating this as some fad way of losing weight. I think I did enough of those in my past I adore Dr Murr and his staff and yes, Susan too! My contacts with her have been wonderful and she is incredible at getting back to me with questions. I could never say a bad thing about anyone in that office!!! I am just simply airing my frustrations on the situation (that I plan to fix). I think it's natural for all of us to go through frustrations in this process.

Marcie, First i want to say I understand your frustration with the authorization processes. it can be long and tiresome. Dr. Murr did my by-pass back in December. There is not one bad thing I can say about his staff or him. I have had the ideal situation from the beginning. I am very fortunate. Some people have problems with approval, appeals, open vs lap, pain, strickters, hernias and the list can go on and on My motto is.... that that does not destroy us only makes us stronger. Just think when this is all over you may be able to use this experience to help another going through what you went through. Just take one day at a time. There maybe a reason there is a delay. FATE. things happen for a reason good luck and let us know when you finally get that wonderful approval shay 12/9/03 296/155/130

Ok, I've seen two posts here kind of, almost, blast Marcie for venting her frustrations. If she is disatisfied or concerned, upset, disappointed, etc. about her current situation, LET HER VENT. That is what these support message boards are for. Not to get upset with someone for venting their frustrations all b/c you don't want your surgeon getting a bad rep. I don't recall Marcie saying anything bad about Dr. Murr or Susan...she's just upset with the situation, like most of us Pre-Ops are...and even Post-Ops, some of you have been thru this too. So how about we be a little more understanding and encouraging of our friends on here. We all have different stories about our journies, some easier than others. Danielle

Thank you for understanding where I am coming from on this. I think anyone can understand how easily someone can get stressed in this situation.
