I am home
My surgery went very well but I developed a high fever and had to stay longer in ICU. I was given a CT scan to rule out any unforseen problems but all was OK. My IV sites are very sore and swollen, I was told to put warm compresses on them, but alas no relief. Almost passed out this morning but I think I am trying to do too much too soon. And what's with those Jackson Pratt drain tubes that were in my stomach. The pain was awful. You pre ops take note- these drain tubes are stitched in and wind their way accross the width of your stomach. The first tube wasn't too bad but when the doc said hold your breath, I should have known to expect pain. It was horrible, I screamed so loud my husband rushed in wondering what they were doing to me.
For all of you who saved me a seat on the loosers bench, the view is just fine. Let's get on with the games!
Blessings to all

Deanna,
Try to get some R&R dont move to fast or do anything to soon. I hazd that problem also doing to much to soon! Glad you are doign well though and I agree with you about the awful g-tube it hurt like heck when they took it out. I had mine for 14 days though, wonder why some docs. keep it longer and some shorter? Hmm, got me!
Enjoy being a postie now and lose, lose, lose!
