i think with exculsions you are pretty well sunk. i would call them and find out if you get your letter of medical necessity does that get around the exclusion. but my research shows that exclusions are procedures that the insurance company will not cover, period.

Thank you for the reply..I kind of figured that. I am going to change insurance in October and as of right now, they are covering it if it is medically ness. Someone just pray for me. I really need this. Thanks..

Traci, what's happening is, insurance companies are offering companies cheaper policies by excluding certain procedures, WLS being a big one. So an employer can save money by offering a policy, that has an exclusion, that most people will never notice. It only affects the one or two people that would plan on having the surgery, and it saves the employer sometimes thousands of dollars. So you are now going up against employer and the insurance company. Good luck.

Thanks Steve! I welcome all the input that I can get. I believe that I am going to have to get a different insurance. I am currently looking into Humana, but I don't know if this would be considered a pre-exsisting condition. So I don't know if I am going to have to wait the 90 days for coverage. If you know any other info, I would love to hear it. Thanks..
