Oh my God, oh my God, I'm approved, I just found out. All I am waiting for is the letter to be faxed to Dr. Jawad's office. OH MY GOD, FINALLY. I don't even know what to do with myself. Thank you all so much for all of your support and encouragement, I would NEVER have made it thru this stage, especially you Steve, I know you're reading this-you made me laugh at times when I was in tears. You all are the best, I will update with my surg.date ASAP.

Danielle, I'm so happy for you!!! Between you and me, it's a wonder if Dr. Jawad's office got anything else done today!! I talked to Lisette, the scheduling lady, twice today. The first time she was just updating me on her battles with Aetna to try to get them to send written confirmation of my authorization, and the second time she called to verify my ID number because she was able to go online and print what she needed to have!! So I'm approved and have a cemented date too!!! I was reading your profile, by the way, and noticed that you didn't like it that Dr. Jawad didn't see pre-ops the first time. He does see them prior to surgery and he does attend many of the support groups and has seminars (like the one at West Marion Hospital tomorrow night), but he's soooo busy and has soooo many patients that he just couldn't see all the pre-ops AND perform surgery too!! Hope that made sense. I see Dr. Jawad in the hospital all the time, and he's always rushing off somewhere else!! Congratulations again!! You're on your way now!! Jan

Thanks all of you! I have a "tentative date" meaning they aren't scheduling that far ahead and so far no one else is on the schedule...Oct.12!!!!!!!!!! I chose that date due to planning for enough leave time from work and to plan around vacation. I am so excited. I will post my date news seperate just in case. Oh Jan, I have totally gotten over the whole not meeting Dr. Jawad thing. I found out that I would meet him at the Pre-Op and the more I realized how many surgeries were planned and the pre-ops and the consults, he can't be everywhere at once. I know he's gotten rave reviews so no worries, I look forward to meeting him though. Thanks again to all of you, you've been great!
