Hi Amy, I am so glad you are back posting. My taste is traditional. I am plain jane but it works for me. We just painted the main part of the house in a color. When we moved in 6 years ago it was painted all Ivory with Ivory tile. How boring?...lol. Now, the living, dining and kitchen are a mushroom taupe kind of color and the family room is olive green. I know, I know still kind of neutral but that was a big step for me.
Welcome back!!!!

Hmmmmmm..... I guess I have been traditional most my life with antiques and even liked older homes ( live in a house that was built in 1920 now) I am changing a little now, though. I have started leaning towards what i call Floridian beach.
You know the wicker, bamboo, seascapes, fountains(I have them in several rooms). I love the sound of the ocean and hope to move soon to a house on the water so I am collecting up the beachy type. Along with that I like having "serene" areas for meditation and such. I have to teenage daughter (16&18) that are in college so we are just looking for a "fun" house.
We are currently getting rid of the conventional living room furniture and making room for a pool table.
I guess my change of lifestyle for losing weight has started a whole new thought. I LIKE IT.
By the way, Amy, glad you are back. Thankful that all my board friends seem to be okay through the storms.
Missed your bantering.
Carol
