It's Hump Day!!! How would you describe your decorating taste or style? Traditional? Modern? Ecclectic? Early Hand-me-downs? Other? I would love to have more antiques but for now I need to put money in the house itself, rather than the furnishings. Have a great Wednesday! Amy

I guess I would call it traditional. I have some antiques, though not as many as I wish I had, and my furniture is mission style, which are clean lines and not at all modern. Another good question, Amy!! Jan

Jan, I love Mission style, Stickley furniture and the whole Arts and Crafts period of decorating. Very functional, sturdy, easy to decorate around and not "busy". I dont care for things that are too ornate or "busy". Take care, Amy

Definitely eclectic. My boyfriend's mother described our style as being a combination of Asian, gothic, french and international flair. We use lots of bold colors as accents and more neutrals in our furniture. (except for our big black entertainment center).

Hi Amy, I am so glad you are back posting. My taste is traditional. I am plain jane but it works for me. We just painted the main part of the house in a color. When we moved in 6 years ago it was painted all Ivory with Ivory tile. How boring?...lol. Now, the living, dining and kitchen are a mushroom taupe kind of color and the family room is olive green. I know, I know still kind of neutral but that was a big step for me. Welcome back!!!! Christine 307/255/140

Hmmmmmm..... I guess I have been traditional most my life with antiques and even liked older homes ( live in a house that was built in 1920 now) I am changing a little now, though. I have started leaning towards what i call Floridian beach. You know the wicker, bamboo, seascapes, fountains(I have them in several rooms). I love the sound of the ocean and hope to move soon to a house on the water so I am collecting up the beachy type. Along with that I like having "serene" areas for meditation and such. I have to teenage daughter (16&18) that are in college so we are just looking for a "fun" house. We are currently getting rid of the conventional living room furniture and making room for a pool table. I guess my change of lifestyle for losing weight has started a whole new thought. I LIKE IT. By the way, Amy, glad you are back. Thankful that all my board friends seem to be okay through the storms. Missed your bantering. Carol

I do love Amy's questions of the day! I am an early american thrift store decorator. We shelter and rescue kitties and stuff just does not last long. Color wise tho.. I adore rose and sunset colors on the walls and in pictures and wall/window treatments. Blessings all! Tina
