Back Pain
Marla,
You should call your nurse and ask her if that is common. I had my gallbladder removed during surgery, but I had back pain too so it may not be gallbladder problems. I thought it was maybe related to my lungs and the aenesthia (sp?) or possibly from the hospital bed's cross bars.
I really noticed it when I took a deep breath or coughed. It passed after about a week or two. I thought I had read about that type of pain on the main board as being common so I didnt worry about it, but then again I tend to ride things out anyway. My girlfriend had surgery last week and she is complaining her back hurts her now too. Hang in there.
Let us know what they say

Today Jose told me that I can expect to have some horrible pains in my upper left side after surgery. He laughed and said that it will go away and not to go to the ER because it will be a waste of my time.
So, you are living proof that it does indeed happen!
I hope it goes away soon! Just walk around and try to get that gas moving.
Wow. I hope your feeling better soon. I had an operation back in 98 to remove ovarian cysts (yay me.....) and had that gas pumped into me. They didn't get a lot of it out so I spent three days crying in a chair and screaming in pain T_T
But at least your aint bad. I dread having that done again but ehh arthuritus tyneol is super strong so ^^
