I have been doing more research and would like to hear from those who have used the Dr.s from the wish center in Tampa. Will you give me information from the time you had your consult to the time you had your surgery. I was reading about a 10 week program? What does that include? Thanks in advance for any information you may be able to give me.

Hi Jo: I have nothing but great things to say about the WISH Center in Tampa. I went to a seminar in March. Had my 1st consult in April and had my open RNY in July. I am doing just great!!!! The 8 to 10 week program is a time period to keep a journal of food, vital signs, exercise and to get all of the pre op testing done. Dr. Dietrick is THE BEST and now has Dr DiCicco to help, and he is very experienced also. You can read my profile, or e-mail with any question. I will answer truthfully and if I can not answer something, I will refer you to who can. There is a Dr Dietrick patient forum also .http://obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/forums/?ID=1052507264 Town & Country Hospital is not fancy but the care is excellent. Take care and many blessings! hi Jo. I did not have a good experience with the Wish Center. However, in their defense it was right after they opened and they were very disorganized and obviously new to this field in our area. The office staff absolutely had no clue what they were doing, in fact they ended up sending me someone elses confidential paperwork with her test results. thank goodness my insurance company would not approve their center and referred me to Dr. Murr. His office was a totally different level of professionalism and skill. However, my neighbor had the open surgery at the Wish Center. She was the first patient. She has had no problems and her insurance paid. She has lost about 60% of the weight she desires to loose. She has been back several times to the office for visits and reports that the doctor was always helpful and professional. Good luck to you!!!

Hello Jo I like yourself researched WLS for 2 yrs before I made my choice to use the wish center in tampa. True they have only been in tampa a little more then a year But they are Great. They have the higest success rate in thier field and thats because they Train you on how to live with the surgery before you have it(the 10 week program) So after surgery you dont have to wonder what can I have or what can I do. After surgery you are giving step by step instructions for the following 3 months and they keep an eye on you. They have called me numerous times since surgery just to make sure I was having no problems. If you want to know more details send me an email and I will write you back. Also if you would like to talk with more Tampa wish center patients we have a yahoo group and we meet for online chat each tuesday at 7pm, feel welcome to stop bye anytime. There is a link to our yahoo group on the bottom of my profile. Goodluck, George
