Why am I so nervous??
Monday I have my consultation with Dr. Murr. I am so incredibly worried about one thing though.
Back in February, Dr. Kaly at Spectra had wanted me to lose around 25lbs. Well, after talking to him we agreed that as long as I was making an attempt and I was eating right, that is all that mattered. Great!
Well, in the past 6 months I gained 10 pounds.
I have this fear that Dr. Murr is going to say to me that I am not fully committed to the program and will want me to come back after I lose some weight.
Am I being paranoid?
Does he turn people away after they go through hoops for 7 months?
I need some reassurance here!

i had dr. murr for my surgeon and he is very reasonable and fair. for the life of me i cant understand why doctors put the pressure on pre op patients to loose weight, that is something we have not been succesful at the majority of our lifetime. dr. murr will discuss with you the risks of the surgery, the types of surgery, he will examine you and then discuss the best options along with his team. if he feels you are dedicated to wls then he will do his best to support your goal. he truly cares about the obese population and understands that obesity is a disease and the wls is one way to try and help. good luck to you
p.s. make sure you bring in a food journal he will want to see that
