Joy Update, The Sequel

So today I got to visit Joy again at ORMC. This visit was much different than the first one. She slept the entire time, but I had a lovely visit with her husband!! Today she was awake and talking! Joy's biggest complaint is that her back was killing her and on the pain scale, it was about a 5. Her drain was out when I saw her today and so was her catheter. She was feeling pretty chipper to tell you the truth and had absolutely NO appetite whatsoever. She didn't care if she ate or not and it had been 3 days. Joy said her tummy sort of felt like she had done a bunch of sit ups, but wasn't really all that uncomforable and was happy to have her body pillow with her. The nurse was proud of the way she did her incentive spirometer! She was set to be released today and I expect she will say hello when she's feeling up to it!!! Jan
