Just getting started

I have Aetna HMO in FL..I am just getting started and I am going to a Seminar for the Wish Center here in Sarasota 8/7/04, I am very excited but I know some insurances can be tough..any one have any stories or input for me??? Thank you

Hello Joelle! I have Aetna POS and I got approval within 3 weeks after I jumped through all the pre-op hoops for them (such as had to show documentation of diets from the past and had to diet for 3 months pre-op under the surgeon's supervision). Good luck and I hope it goes smoothly for you too

I would suggest getting letters from ANY doctor who you have seen recently that has weighed you. I had letters from not only my Primary Care Physician, but the Gastroenterologist who did my endoscopy, my Gynecologist, my Endocrinologist who had even tried me on thyroid to lose weight. I know they all responded. I was approved in 4 days. Good luck!
