:( JUST WANT TO CRY

Hi every one: Today I went for my EGD and also a colonoscipy. MY EGD shows very small ulcers and the Dr. said with medication they should heal in 3 weeks. I also went to DR. Jessee's office to pick up some paper work to fill out. Well to my surprise I asked Joyce to way me, now after not eating for 2 days and only having sugar free jello and sugar free icepops and water and that junk that keeps you in the bathroom all night I GAINED 2 pounds. I could have cried my eyes out. I am working so hard to get the last few pounds off so I can get my LAP RNY that I just felt like crawling in a hole and not coming out. Dr. Jessee's office is going to submit my paper work to Aetna tomorrow so I will keep my fingers and toes crossed, but I am so depressed and upset that I just can't hardlytake any more disappointment. Hi Karen, Maybe you gained because you are not eating enough calories and your body went into starvation mode. Did the doctor's office put you on that diet? Plus I did not see any protien. Are you eating any or taking supplements? Let me know. Don't get discouraged, you will get there soon enough. I wish you all the luck in your journey and I hope you will soon have a surgery date. Hi Karen I had my surgery 8 weeks ago and have aetna also. They did not approve me at first because they wanted proof that I had tried a diet program for at least 6 months (supervised) but then they did a week later after I sent this info in. The whole thing took a little over 3 weeks. So good luck . I also have a boston terrier. we love her like crazy, what a character. Things will work out. lizz

I answered this post on the main board, but in a nutshell, I said that the weight will come off and you should remember that you didn't really gain, it's just a lie from the scale and you are really doing soooo very well. Hugs, Jan
