Need Prayer NOW, Please!

I had an appointment at my PCP's today for the (hopefully) last in the series of physician supervised whatchamacallits!! I GAINED 15 lbs. since last month, which is unbelievable!! That's 1 lbs. every other day!!! I have been watching what I eat, cut out sugar and look what happens! Anyway, I read something on the main board yesterday about the doctor signing for all the weigh ins from the past year, so I asked my doctor to sign mine and she did! Now at least, in addition to her office notes, I have weekly weigh ins for a year that's been signed by my physician. That's just GOT to help. Oh, anyway, the prayer part now comes in. Tomorrow I will get a copy of the last 2 months' visits and take them to the surgeon's office to put with the others and THEN we are going to submit to Aetna for approval. I NEED your prayers NOW!!! Please pray that Aetna doesn't give me any grief, ok??? Youse guys are the best!! I hope Momma Angel is looking down on me with mercy too and I believe she is!!! (You know, I think of her so often and I miss her so much!!) Hugs, Jan

Well, Jan, you definately have my prayers. I know it is so frustrating getting all these "ducks in a row" but then if it was easy we would think it was some kind of trick, huh? Anyway, sounds like you have what they were wanting so I am sure they are going to go ahead for you. I am crossing my fingers............my toes, ..........now, my eyes are crossed for you. Jan, good luck with Aetna> Please double and triple check that you have all of your ducks in a row. And follw up, after about two weeks, call Aetna every day to check on your approval, they like to play games. AS far as the 15 pound gain goes, if diets worked for us, we wouldn't need WLS. Good luck, and remember, the insurance company is not your friend in this.

Jan, I'll say a prayer but I'm sure it will go through without a problem because you have all your bases covered. So now you can just kick back and relax. HAHA!! I know it's hard but hang tough. I wouldn't be suprised if you know by next week. Joy

Hey Jan, I have Aetna too. What helped me get approved is that I had all my doctor's write letters supporting the WLS. And I also got copies of all the precriptions that my pcp had written for me. I was lucky because they kept a copy of every single script for the last five years. Good Luck, Karee

Hi Jan, You are definitely in my prayers. I was denied at first from Aetna because I did not have the physician supervised weight loss. I probably lost a total of 2 pounds in 3 months. But what helped me get my appeal approved was that I developed high blood preasure while I was waiting for Aetna's approval. They approved my in less than a week. Hi Jan; I will keep you in my prayers and in my thoughts also. I know how hard you have worked and you are always on the ball with everything so I also wish you luck and will be praying extra hard that it goes quick and you hear what you want to hear back from Aetna.
