I had lap rny,, and one of my incisions didnt heal totally when I got out my staples,, I had to keep it covered and clean, about a week later it was totally healed,, it is not unusual but just keep an eye on it,,, best of luck,,Christy

I would call the dr to let him know. Most likely they will tell you to keep it clean and pack it occasionally. I myself have not had surgery yet but i had my incision open up from when i had my c section.....it took months for it to heal, plus my belly button still bothers me from it. I also ended up getting an incisional hernia from it so please be very careful. On the other hand look at it this way after you lose the weight from having your surgery it might help you get a tummy tuck :0). I've already been told my chances of having another hernia is greater due to the fact they are cutting through the old one. It's ok with me, more chance of a tummy tuck(i hope) Anyways hope you are feeling/healing better and keep us posted. Tammy Ps how much have you lost so far?

I had a hernia myself from a previous gallbladder surgery. That is my other issue... he tried to fix it, but I think it has come back. It is much more painful this time. I have lost 42 in total, with 25 of that since surgery. When is yours?
