Hi, I'm new to this so if I do it wrong please forgive me. I saw on here awhile back someone had written about a 2oz. unflavored liquid protein they had found, and said it was great to use in other things as an additional scource of protein. The problem is I have lost the information on it and would really like to find it. I am having my surgery in less than 2 wks. and am trying to get everything organised and ordered before I go to the hospital. Can anyone out there help me??? Thanks to everyone on here, you are truly life savers. Vicki Mayer

Vickie, First of all, congrats on your surgery date! The one unflavored protein powder I have heard about is unjury. I think if you go to their website, you may be able to get some samples for a small price. Try unjury.com for more info. I havent tried it myself because I have so many other samples and canisters already. Best wishes for a successful surgery Amy

I have tried the unjury and find it very good. A little pricey compared to others. Main thing I found, it has far less calories than the other brands I've tried, also it is made for WLS and cancer patients. Marla

Never heard of this one...just went to check on the ingredients in the chocolate, contains acesulfame, aspartame (Nutrasweet) both of which I am allergic to... and the unflavored seems good but what do you usually mix it with? Any suggestions...I can't drink many juices due to allergies and am lactose intolerant so after surgery I am sure I may be worse than ever for awhile. Right now I am drinking Lo-carb Slimfast 3 times a day which has 20grams and uses Splendra. I won't say I love it but I do like it allot. I have the worst time finding anything due to allergies. I was using Atkins but when they reformulated the grams were less and it was too sweet. Okay I know you're thinking why the protein drinks before surgery...that is mainly all I can tolerate with the stomach pain and cramps I get. Been drinking Slimfast and Atkins for as long as both have been on the market and makes me wonder why I am not 90 lbs! It always kept me there until 2001.

sorry the unjury did not work. I use soy milk to mix mine. With the unflovored, it can be mixed with soups, pudding and several other things. Check their web site for recipes. I also would suggest email them and outline your allergies. They may have other ideas. They work with many types of surgery patients. I can not drink Slimfast, if I do I have cramping and stay in bathroom. Milk does me same way, so I just use soy products. Never checked the sweetner they use in yogurt and other products. I hope you find a product you can use. Good luck with your hunt. Marla
