Ready to give up!! (sorry it's long)

I'm about at my complete wits end! The last 2 months have been a complete nightmare for me! At the end of May, I had an infected sweatgland in my arm pit that had to be sliced open and drained (major ouch!) Then in June my grandmother passed away (unneccessarily due to the Dr not monitoring her properly) and then right before we are due to go on vacation, I get cellulitis/stomach absess that put me in St. Vincent's hospital for a week and cancelled our vacation. I have been on home health care because the wound has to be packed. It seems like my Dr. doesn't want to even discuss WLS with me. On top of all of this, I work for the State thru a temp service and had been waiting on the contract for me to come back to be signed. I got a call yesterday saying come back Monday, then when I mentioned I would be out the week of Aug 9 because I'm getting married, I was told not to bother coming back then. I got fired because I am getting married. So now i have lost my insurance, and I feel like everything has fallen apart and I don't EVEN know where to go from here! Sorry, needed to vent!

Hang in there, Girlie! Things have to get better soon. Focus on your upcoming wedding and then after that you can throw yourself into looking for a new job with better insurance. Good luck!

Thanks! I appreciate the thoughts, however finding a job has been extrememly hard for me. Even though I've been more than qualified for positions, I truly believe i haven't gotten them due to my size. What really sucks is this isn't the first time this happened. Last year I was working a temp job and had to miss a few days due to Dr appointments and they let me go because of that. It seems like it's never ending!

What an ordeal! When you get married maybe your husband's insurance will cover you. Kallen

You could go to Vocational Rehab. You just be willing to return to work and the surgery must be medically necessary. They covered mine 100%. SO if you feel like all is gone & lost I am sorry. However it is not.

I know ALL about Voc Rehab, that's where I just got fired from. Thanks.
