My information was sent to insurance on the 19th of july and I recieved a letter from the insurance company a couple of days ago that said they were unable to authorize the request for surgery because there was no documentation of monitored weight loss program. So i called my insurance company today and told them that i have documentation and they must have overlooked it so they called they doctors office and are resubmitting it. hopefully it was just an oversight on someone part.

Don't give up Angela, I had to appeal my denial and it took me 9 months. I kept pursuing it and now I am on the losing side and it was all worth it. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!! Christine

Angela, I hope that it was just an oversight. I am so glad you had "all your ducks in a row" for approval. Isn't the red tape just a pain in the butt? Hang in there and let us know how it goes. Amy

You go girl...if that was there only reason you should be okay. Your doctors office doesn't sound like they have a plan. I have been to several to find out their procedures and also that was in their packet.
