Hi! I was very concerned about this as well and spoke to my surgeon about it in detail. He said that scientifically they do not know why people stop losing weight and level out, but they do. He said that most lose about 75 percent of the excess weight so in the end they are still a healthy weight. My mentor told me that has she approached her personal goal weight, she added a 7th meal to the day and even ate 2/3 of a cup instead of 1/2 cup at some of her meals.
Hope this helps,
Paige
Shawn, this has happened in the past, but so rarely that it's hardly worth mentioning. Most people when then get to their goal weight, if they are still losing, they adjust their diet and stop losing. There is always a chance of being malnourished, that why it's so important to take your vitamins every day for the rest of your life, and eat smart, protein first then vegetables. good luck on making your decision, and let us know if we can help.
