Question plz help if you can....
Most surgeons will listen to the recommendation of the psych evaluator and if you werent given the "thumbs up", then they will postpone surgery until you get that clearance. This is for your protection and for the surgeon's too.
Did the psychologist/psychiatrist give you any idea what they felt was preventing you from moving forward? You dont need to tell us that info, but I would think they would have given you an idea of what their concern was with you having surgery now. Then you can work thru that issue first, then take the evaluation again. I know some others had been given a time frame or number of sessions to complete then they go back for a follow up, hopefully they will get approval at that time.
I wish you all the luck in the world getting thru this, just look at this as a lil bump in the road.

Hey Linda.. did the doctor say they are going to approve as long as you continue counseling?? I saw Curtis at Spectra who said I needed to continue counseling. Which I was doing. So all I had to do was get a letter from my doctor saying that I was in counseling and he would continue my care after the surgery.
