I get hungry in the evenings too. I'm trying to eat more during the day so that I know I'm not hungry when I am home. (I tend to forget to eat during the day)
Then keep busy. find something to do with your hands. My Mother in Law embroiders and knots to keep her hands busy so she won't smoke.
I think that my hunger at night is more of a learned thing. So I'm working on painting and little crafts that keep me busy. I figure if I forget I'm hungey during the day, I can forget it at night too.
But EAT YOUR PROTIEN.

Kathy, if you are eating right, most hunger pains are from dehydration. Are you drinking enough water? You should be getting at least 64 ounces in a day. Also are you drinking before during or right after your meals? Drinking during or right after a meal will wash the food out of your pouch, and make you hungry sooner. Are you excercising? Excercise will help you lose weight faster, and helps bust plateaus. Check with your surgeon or dietician to make sure your eating right, if you are not eating enough, your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose any weight. Good luck, I hop you get past this.
