I just realized that my period is about 9 days late. I had my surgery on 6/29. Has this happened to anyone else and how long before your body was "normal" again? Thanks, Pam

I had my tubes tied in October when my son was born but I guess it is possible. I got pregnant with my 1st while on the pill and was diagnosed PCOS and unable to ovulate in 2002. I lost 25# last January and son was born 4 and 1/2 weeks early in October. My OBGYN said that the weight loss kicked my system back on. Now I am debating on buying a ept tonight.

Go ahead and buy the test, but I have the same problems as you and also had my second child after losing alot of weight.I bet that it is just the surgery. I had surgery that was on the intestines and it was two months before I was back to what was normal for me. But if you need to put your mind to rest take the test it won't hurt. I KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED FOR YOU, THAT IT IS WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE. gail

If your tubes are tied, how could you possibly be pregnant?

I started when I got home from the hospital which was a week early but now I am about 3 weeks late but that is normal. I really don't think there is a normal amout of time to "get back to normal" but I wouldn't be surprised if it took as long as 6 months for some. Kallen

Pamela, I have seen a lot of posts on this problem. This surgery totally screws with your system, some women start early, and some run late, I have heard of women, (who are not pregnant), not having their period for two or three months right after surgery, while their body is getting used to all the changes. For piece of mind, you may want to check, but if you aren't pregnant, I wouldn't sweat it too much, you will get back on track sooner or later.
