Question of the Day

Happy Hump Day everyone! I am curious as to where some of you like to take a weekend escape to clear your head and rejevenate yourselves? Sometime you just need to get the "heck outta Dodge" and get away for a day or two. Where is your favorite spot to head to for a day trip or short getaway? Personally, I love going to St. Augustine. I usually go at least once, sometimes twice a year. I am a history buff so I love going and learning more each time. In October, I am going there with a friend to celebrate both our birthdays by staying in a fabulous hotel called Casa Monica and playing tourist for a couple days. I can't wait

Hi Amy...well since I am in miami..i love to go to the Orlando area (kissimmee, lake buena vista, ect)...i'm there like every 2 months...sometimes i do the parks..but i love to go to Downtown Disney...eat at Fulton's (pretty soon that won't be happening), i love the outlets b/c i love to shop...and i love the people and the atmosphere...i really don't like miami anymore...even though i was born and raised here...once you leave the tri-county area..life seems to be more relaxing, people are friendly and yes, even the food is better. I'm looking in the near future to move to Clermont, florida...wow is that nice..and of course I love Celebration..but not in my league just yet... well, thats where i go to get away and its my home away from home... hugs Mady

i absolutley LOVE going to the beach....it is so calming and relaxing...plus not to mention how pretty it is! amy, i missed u last night. i wish that you could have made it, the meeting was awesome! Very informational and there were alot of nice people there. Well i hope everyone has a great day!!!

Chazlin, I am sorry I didnt make it last night. I even left work early to go and when I got home, I read mail, let the dogs out and laid down for a bit, next thing I knew it was 745pm. I crashed! I just cant seem to work all day and not be exhausted when I get home, I cant wait for this need for naps to pass. I'm glad you went and got to meet some new friends. I'm thinking about going to the get together at Cracker Barrel on Saturday night, any interest in going to that? Let me know. Amy

I wish I could get out of town and relax. Before Troy and I got married and a few times after, I use to fly into Austin, TX to see him for the weekend, that was my favorite get away at that time. I am looking forward to having a new get away soon. I also attended last nights meeting, it was great. Chazlin my mom was just raving about how beautiful you are. My husband and I will be attending the meeting at Cracker barrel on Saturday. Tracey

When I can get away, I prefer going to the beach, Orlando area is a close second.

Well since I already live close to the beach and I go almost every week, I'd have to say Biloxi. I just like to go and be around all of the fun and excitement even if I don't win.

I never ever go away for the weekend, but I like day trips to St. Augustine. I did do a scrapbook convention weekend in Jax in early May and that was fun, but it was just to the Adam's Mark hotel and I didn't go anywhere or do anything!

Hi Amy, I am lucky enough to call St. Augustine my home. So next time your here let me know so we can meet. My favorite place to relax is Camp Blanding (Kingsley Lake). Or a day at the beach.
